Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Avondale Park School and our school website.

Avondale Park School is a large primary school serving a multi-ethnic community in the heart of North Kensington and since September 2014 we have been federated with St Anne’s Nursery School. Please click here for federation home page.

At Avondale Park School we have two classes in each year group, with about 25 children per class. There are 26 teaching staff including the Head and Deputy Headteacher and 41 non teaching staff. We pride ourselves as teachers on aiming continually to develop and improve our teaching in order to make learning accessible and exciting for all pupils.

We are fortunate to have lots of space with excellent facilities, including 2 computer suites, interactive whiteboards in each classroom, two sports halls, and developing playgrounds.

We are an inclusive school encouraging the academic, social and personal development of every child in a welcoming and secure environment. Visitors are always struck by the friendly but hardworking atmosphere created by staff and pupils and indeed, Ofsted commented on this....read more

If you are eligible for free school meals, please can you provide evidence to the office for this year by ASAP in order to continue to receive free meals.
Next Friday we shall be holding our Harvest Festival assemblies. We ask that all children bring a contribution of food which will be given to people in our community less fortunate than ourselves. Foods suggested are: Tins of meat, fish, soup, fruit, vegetables, desserts (no baked beans though please) Tinned meat pies (e.g. Fray Bentos) Packets of powdered soup, custard, rice, semolina Packets of tea, jars of instant coffee Packets of biscuits (selection boxes are nice) Packets of sweets, bars of chocolate. NB: Please check that food has not passed its ‘use by’ date by January 2016. We also ask that if anyone would like to nominate an elderly friend, neighbor or relative who might appreciate a harvest gift, please let the office staff know.
Please click here regarding sponsored activities your child will be participating in on Friday 16th October. Luke Lennon-Ford, a GB 400m sprinter, will be in school motivating the children with the aim that we raise some money for British athletes, children’s charities and the school.

A special mention to Tim and Mary’s Year 6 Class for their assembly last week on Martin Luther King. They gave an excellent presentation on this special person, with each member of the class playing their part. Well done to you all!
